The
ADSC is the first centre to be set up by the University of Illinois
outside the United States and will be the anchor academic presence
in digital sciences research for Fusionopolis. Through the Human
Sixth Sense Programme (HSSP) funded by A*STAR, technologies
will be developed which will have the potential to transform
industries and services as we move rapidly into the digital
age.
The
launch event will include the signing of a Joint Agreement between Chairman, A*STAR and the Chancellor, UIUC on the
12 Feb morning. As part of the launch, senior representatives
from UIUC and A*STAR will present on key research areas in a workshop
following the launch ceremony.
